Close loop building blocks for neurostimulator devices

Neurotech Leuven serves as a platform to connect individuals who share a passion for neurotechnology, including students, researchers, and industry.

Our company project is dedicated to the development of a Closed-Loop Neurostimulator Device, with a specific focus on addressing targeted brain disorders. By harnessing the latest advancements in neurotechnology, our goal is to create a device capable of delivering precise therapeutic interventions customized to meet the unique needs of individual patients.

Key Project Objectives:

1.Tailored Neurotechnological Intervention: Utilize artificial intelligence(AI), feedback control systems, and real-time data analysis to customize the functionality of the neurostimulator device according to the user's clinical state and therapeutic requirements.

2.Development of Technical Building Blocks: Design and develop reusable technical building blocks essential for the creation of the Closed-Loop Neurostimulator Device. These building blocks will form the foundation for future neurotechnological applications and advancements in the field.

3.Functional Prototype Development: Engineer a functional prototype of the Active Implantable Medical Device (AIMD) that embodies the closed-loop neurostimulation concept. The prototype will serve as a tangible demonstration of the device's capabilities and pave the way for further refinement and optimization.

In this endeavor, a team consisting of four students and two PhD researchers will combine their expertise to conduct thorough research and drive innovation forward.
